Gallery of Everything Else

Most nature printers develop a strong preference for working with fish or flora - one or the other. I love it all, and go through phases of spending more time with one over the other. Most of the pieces below were an attempt to bring light and color into a gray Oregon winter.
The piece on the left is a diptych. The subject was a nearly 24" long tobacco leaf from a plant grown in Harry's and my garden in 2010. I did a simple direct print of the leaf using black ink, adhered it to two 12" square boards, encased it in encaustic, and finally added color using Shiva oil sticks.
